Within the virtual aviation club we organized a visit to our local Adria flight school. We had some interesting lectures but the main thing was flying their simulator. They use Mechtronix Generic fix base FNPT II (Flight and Navigation Procedures Trainer) and MCC simulator resembling a Beechcraft King Air 200. It can be configured as a single-engine, twin-engine propeller and turbo-propeller aircraft. We all gave it a go in a traffic pattern.
Simulator is running three projector visual system with a field of view approximately 180 x 35 degrees. I wouldn’t mind having that in my simulator.
At the end guys also successfully tested the GPS Garmin GNS430 in CAT1 conditions.
