RMP panel

RMP or Radio management panels are located in three places. Two RMP’s (CPT, F/O) are on the center pedestal left and right of throttles and the third one is on the right side of overhead. RMP is used for frequency selection tune and backup radio navigation. All three RMP’s are connected each other and updated on selected frequencies (cross talk).

Panel consist of ACTIVE and STB/CRS frequency display, transfer key,  frequency selector knobs (outer for whole numbers and inner for decimals), radio selection keys, SEL indicator, radio navigation keys,  and ON/OFF switch.

Thanks to Christopher (CockpitConcept), James, Ben and David you can also interface RMP with ARINC 429 boards.

If your RMP panel is inoperative or you just want to choose “Stone Age” non ARINC method of bypassing internal electronics here is internal RMP’s panel back rail pin-out. If you want to find out more about this method go to Interfacing Radio management panel post.
